Short answers we repeat on the homepage, pricing, the Chrome extension page, and the comparison pages. If something is not here, use the contact form.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan is five monitors, hourly checks, and email alerts with no credit card. You only enter a card if you upgrade through Stripe.
What is a check?
A check is one fetch of your public URL. We extract facts from the page and compare them to your goal. You are emailed only when the goal is newly true — not on every poll, and not when a cookie banner or visitor counter moves.
What happens if I hit the monitor cap?
You cannot create another monitor until you delete one or upgrade. Existing monitors keep running on their plan cadence. There is no silent overage bill.
How often do you check?
Free is hourly. Pro is every 15 minutes. Pro+ and Team are every 5 minutes. Checks are best-effort; we do not guarantee a poll at an exact clock time.
When do you use Playwright instead of HTTP?
HTTP first, on every plan. Playwright runs only on Pro+ and Team, and only when the response is a JavaScript shell with too little HTML to extract. It is not a login or CAPTCHA solver.
Can you watch pages behind a login?
No. We only fetch public URLs. We do not store your site passwords, replay sessions, solve CAPTCHAs, or send cookies to origin servers. If the page requires a login, it is out of scope — by design, not as a missing feature.
Do you send Slack, Teams, or SMS?
Not yet. Every plan can email you. Pro+ and Team can also POST an HTTPS webhook so you can fan the alert into the tools you already use. Slack, Teams, SMS, and a public API with keys are separate product work — we will not list them as shipping features until they do.
Do you call an AI model on every check?
No. Keyword and price goals compile to deterministic rules. An LLM is used when a goal is ambiguous at save time, and a relevance classifier can run after a candidate change that would notify. Pixel-diff tools that score “is this important?” on every poll are a different product.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Cancel from Billing in the dashboard; Stripe stops the next renewal. Free stays free. Refunds are handled case by case through the contact form — we do not promise a window in copy we cannot keep.
Do you sell my data?
No. We will not sell your email or monitor list. See the privacy policy. Contact-form copy is used only to reply to you.
Does the Chrome extension watch the page while my laptop is closed?
No. The extension captures URL, title, and selected text so you do not have to paste them. After you save, PulseNotice’s cloud checks the public URL on your plan cadence — whether or not the browser is open. The extension is not a local-only watcher.
Are extension monitors different from dashboard monitors?
No. Capture is just a faster way to fill the same form. The monitor, history, and email are the same objects you see at pulsenotice.com after you sign in.
